If you like competing and love to race, stop by any Thursday or Saturday from 10:00 AM to Noon and introduce yourself. We'll show you how it's done and give you a test sail. Race days can be a little hectic, so please be patient with us.

Wednesday morning between 10:00 AM and Noon, several of us casually sail. Since you'll find a smaller fleet with less intense racing, that's an ideal time to give it a try.

How Do I Get Started

Purchasing a boat

We always suggest that you buy the class of boat your local club uses. We sail five different classes, ranging from the Footy, Dragon Force 65, Dragon Flite 95, Solings to the US 1 Meter.

You can check out a description of the boats on our RACING page as well as look for used boats in our FOR SALE section. One of our members will advise anyone who wishes to choose a second hand boat, to ensure they are happy with their purchase.

We recommend for a beginner to consider your budget and aim to choose one of the 'One Design' classes available. The US1m is more of a specialized boat and they tend to be more expensive.
