​Club History
The Space Coast Model Sailing Club (SCMSC) was formed in early 1993 by Steve Spatenga with fifteen charter members to competitively sail radio control sail boats. Steve was the only one with rc sailing experience and knew the inner workings of a sailing club. Soon after starting the club, it joined the American Model Yachting Association (AMYA) as Club #183. The club now has approximately 40 members.

The Space Coast Model Sailing Club (SCMSC) was formed in early 1993 with fifteen charter members to competitively sail radio control sail boats. As of 2015, we have approximately 40 very enthusiastic sailors who make up the nucleus of the club plus others that sail occasionally or only in the winter months.
